I decided to start my own cake decorating business purely because i enjoy the process from the baking, the decorating, the outcome & the reaction i get when i reveal it to you! Im a quailified chef by trade, I spent 10years in the industry full time. When my partner & i decided to start a family I baked in a local resturant part time & with the birth of my 3rd child last year i decided to become a full- time stay at home mum.. I've catered at many many weddings during my chef days & would anxiously await the arrival of the wedding cake, what creation would arrive??? Here is where my love for cake decorating began! When my sister married she asked me to make her cake..... it was my 1st fondent cake, a three teir cocolate, white chocolate & caramel mud... my kitchen was a bomb site with icing sugar everywhere, but it was fun & the cake was a hit.. Then a year later i had the pleasure of making my eldest sisters wedding cake & as the years followed my kids got bigger & better birthday cakes & the rest is history!!! One day I will return to cooking (I love it to much not to) but for now my cakes allow me to have a creative outlet & still be there for my family (my eldest heads to big school next year! :-o).
